Daikin, Mitsubishi and Fujitsu, single-zone for one stubborn room or multi-zone for a whole house.
Through-wall and water-source heat pumps cool most of the apartments in this city, and they are their own discipline. Repair before replacement
Most no-cool calls come down to a short list: a refrigerant leak, a failed capacitor or contactor, a fouled condenser coil, a blocked filter or iced evaporator, a condensate fault tripping a safety switch, or a control problem. None of those is a reason to replace a system, and all of them get quoted as replacements more often than they should be.
